Last updated: March 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking an appointment or using any services provided by Paradigm Counselling & Psychotherapy ("we", "us", "our"). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Paradigm Counselling & Psychotherapy provides professional counselling and psychotherapy services, delivered online (via Zoom) or in-person at our premises in Lisnagry, Co. Limerick. We also offer wellbeing courses and group programmes.

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We reserve the right to decline a booking where we consider it appropriate to do so.

2. Bookings & Payment

All bookings must be made through our website. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received and you have received a written confirmation by email.

Prices are displayed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely via PayPal. We do not store your payment details.

You will receive a booking confirmation email containing your session details, a booking reference number, and a link to manage your booking.

  • Cancellations or changes made within two working days will incur a €25 administration fee.
  • The remaining balance will be refunded within 7 working days.

3.1 Free Cancellation & Rescheduling

3.3 Non-Attendance

If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not contacted us in advance, no refund will be issued.

3.4 Cancellation by Us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you either an alternative appointment or a full refund.

4. Refunds

Refunds are processed to your original payment method and are subject to the cancellation policy outlined above. Please allow up to 7 working days for a refund to appear on your statement after it has been issued.

We are unable to offer refunds for sessions that have already taken place, or for non-attendance without prior notice.

5. Confidentiality

All information shared during sessions is held in strict confidence in accordance with the ethical guidelines of our professional bodies. Confidentiality may only be broken in exceptional circumstances, as required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others.

6. Privacy & Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal data. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information in accordance with GDPR and applicable Irish data protection law.

7. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided in good faith by qualified professionals. However, counselling and psychotherapy are collaborative processes and we cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Our liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific session in question.

We are not responsible for technical difficulties experienced during online sessions that are beyond our reasonable control (such as internet connectivity issues on your end).

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
